The team this morning - you can't see the driving rain!! Tuesday 3rd April morning comments: Bang - morning Farnes, I'm here! The easterly gale is lashing the islands, the Puffins look bemused and the driving rain is keeping everything fresh. Nearby Lindisfarne Castle are reporting a wind chill of -9 and we can believe it. The storm has reach gale force and it's not stopping.
However the first good bird has been discovered, blown off course - a Great Grey Shrike has just been discovered near the lighthouse on Inner Farne. But what else....
